歌川貞秀 Utagawa Sadahide (1807-1879)
Student of Utagawa Kunisada I (Toyokuni III). Real name Hashimoto Kenjiro. He was first called Gountei, later Gyokuran, Gyokuransai, Gyokuran Shujin, Ichigyokusai, Gyokou, etc. He was first called Utagawa Sadahide and later Hashimoto Sadahide. He is known for his Yokohama paintings, bird's-eye views, and illustrations for Goukan.
鈍宅 - Dontaku means Sunday in Dutch, and depicts foreigners enjoying their day off. The foreigners march in colourful costumes, carrying flags representing four countries: France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Russia.
