國井道成 Kunii Dosei (b1951)Painter in Gifu Prefecture. Son of Kunii Kosetsu. Studied under 坪内節太郎 Tsubouchi Setsutaro (1905-1979). and learned Japanese-style painting from an early age. He excels at detailed depiction, and is active in a wide range of activities, from flower and bird paintings to portraits. His specialty is Buddhist paintings. He is one of Japan's leading Buddhist painters, commissioned by temples such as Koyasan and Hieizan.
