He studied under Hineno Sakuzo (1907-1984), and while producing craft-like porcelain, he also studied Chinese ceramics. His techniques are highly regarded not only in Japan but also in the Chinese ceramic world. 1912 Born in Gifu Prefecture 1964 Won a gold medal at the California Exposition. 1967 Exhibited at Montreal Expo. 1983 Recognized as a Living National Treasure.
