Artist details:
1900~1988. Yamada Mumon was a Rinzai school roshi, calligrapher, and former abbot of Shofuku-ji in Kobe, Japan. Mumon was also the former head of the Myoshin-ji branch of the Rinzai school of Japan. His most prominent student (and Dharma heir) is Harada Shodo of Sogen-ji, an influential master in both Japan and the United States.

Seal: 峩々山人 Gagasanjin 太室道者 Taishitsu doja
松樹千年翠 Shoju Sennenno Midori
松 means pine tree 樹 means leaves 千年 means thousand years 翠 means green.
In short, Pine tree is hard to spot like colorful flowers but pine tree endures things like hard rain, hard wind for many years and always keep green. This is buddhist Zen words, in other words, it tells us not to lose essential things.
